Our Programs
Run Jump Throw is a national program developed by Athletics Canada that teaches fundamental movement skills and develops physical literacy using track and field inspired activities, games, and skill challenges lead by trained instructors focusing on the fundamentals of running, jumping and throwing.
Whether as one's only organized weekly activity or as a complement to another sport, the focus of our Youth Running Program is on fun and fitness and personal bests. Throughout the session, we use fun games and activities that develop proper running form, stamina and speed. It is our primary goal to ensure that all participants finish the season with a passionate enthusiasm for running.
Run, walk, jog - all paces welcome.
Children and youth welcome. Those under 12 years of age must be accompanied by an adult or guardian.
Multiple route options will be provided so that we can start and finish together.
Group leaders will be available to support you in your run/walk/jog. We have a "no-drop" policy. Whatever your pace you should find someone to run/walk with.
The Russell Run Club providing a weekly track workout open to all ages and abilities. This is a great opportunity to meet fellow runners and be challenged with a few fast kilometres. Every week we will provide a workout. We alway begin with a warmup and finish with a cool down.
Not quite ready yet for some fast laps and are just happy with running/walking/jogging on your own and meeting new people. You are still more than welcome to participate.
