FAQ

What if I get injured?

As running coaches, working within our scope of practice is essential. This means that in the event of a suspected injury, we will urge you to seek guidance from a medical professional to determine the appropriate next steps and when you can safely return to running.

Do I need any special equipment?

Comfortable running shoes are essential. We also recommend comfortable activewear and a watch or app to track your runs.

What if I had to withdraw from training?

If you withdraw from the program past the halfway point a refund cannot be provided. If something disrupts your training before the halfway point of the program you will be offered a full or partial credit for a future group program.

Why should I get a Russell Run Club membership?

Because the Russell Run Club is registered with Athletics Ontario, being a member provides you with:

  • Insurance coverage during all RRC sessions and events

  • Qualified coaches who have completed training and background checks

  • Support for the club so we can continue offering safe, accessible, and affordable programs

The membership fee is paid once per calendar year, so if you join another RRC program later in the year, you won’t pay it again.
