Our Programs

Run Jump Throw is a national program developed by Athletics Canada that teaches fundamental movement skills and develops physical literacy using track and field inspired activities, games, and skill challenges lead by trained instructors focusing on the fundamentals of running, jumping and throwing.
Youth Running Program
Whether as one's only organized weekly activity or as a complement to another sport, the focus of our Youth Running Program is on fun and fitness and personal bests. Throughout the session, we use fun games and activities that develop proper running form, stamina and speed. It is our primary goal to ensure that all participants finish the season with a passionate enthusiasm for running.

Our Learn (or Return) to Run program is for those that:
-
Are new to running and interested in beginning
-
Have ran in the past but has not ran for a few months/years and needs a program that will very gradually progress to avoid injury
-
Have tried to run in the past but due to injuries was forced to stop
-
Has had a baby recently (or not so recently) and wants to get back into running. We will select stroller friendly routes!

Looking for a change of scenery, connecting with a supportive community of runners and have some good fun while having a good workout too?
The Russell Run will be organizing a Trail Running Event in August 2022. Distance between 5 and 10 km - we aim to finish the route between 45 and 60 minutes.
Come out and explore the local trails. May include mud!

Run, walk, jog - all paces welcome.
Children and youth welcome. Those under 12 years of age must be accompanied by an adult or guardian.

Multiple route options will be provided so that we can start and finish together.
Group leaders will be available to support you in your run/walk/jog. We have a "no-drop" policy. Whatever your pace you should find someone to run/walk with.
