Club News

Russell Community Market

This weekend, our members proudly donned their Run Club T-shirts and decorated a booth with all our signs, flags, and banners to promote the Russell Run Club at the Russell Community Market. It was a fantastic opportunity to introduce our club to new faces and reconnect with some familiar friends.

Although the rain dampened attendance this month, we still had a great time engaging with the community. We're looking forward to returning this summer and continuing to share our passion for running and walking with even more people.

Support our Club Photographer

Whenever you see quality photographs of our club events, you have Norm Fortin to thank.

Norm has 3 pictures entered into the township competition for new photos for the panels at the end of the bowling lanes. Let us show our appreciation for Norm's talents and place your vote for Norm's pictures (he has 3: B, F & H) on the Russell Township website.

While you can vote for whichever pictures you like best, we're biased toward the photo of our own Crystal MacKinnon (Norm's wife) running in photo B.

The deadline to vote is Sunday, June 16, 2024. So don't wait!

The Beer Mile

June 29, 2024 at the Clarence Rockland Summer Spirits festival

Drink a beer, run/walk/jog (or crawl) around a 1/4 mile track and then repeat, 3 more times!

There is a non-alcoholic option, for those who would rather not drink beer. Or perhaps you would prefer to share those laps and beers with others by entering the team relay.
