As winter approaches, we wind down with our racing and events. However, group runs continue. We also take advantage of the quiet time to work on some administrative tasks, such as updating our website.

Club News
Supporting the Valoris Foundation
A few members came out on Sunday to represent the club and run an easy 5 or 10km at the Christmas Elves Challenge to support the Valoris Foundation.
It was another fantastic fall running day. The trail was full of runners and walkers of all ages wearing green Valoris T-shirts. It was a low-key, community run, which we loved. We will be back next year.
Updates to our Website: Group Runs and Workouts
With no event on the schedule for the next few months, we are catching up with some administrative tasks.
This week we have added an events page, "Group Runs and Workouts," which allows you to:
See the runs and workouts scheduled for the next few weeks.
See the date, time, location and route.
Let us know if you are joining us with the RSVP button
Receive notices if the event is cancelled.
RSVPing is not mandatory for attending group runs, but it's nice to know who is joining us each week so we don't miss you. You can also let us know you are joining us via email (info@russellrunclub.ca) or by commenting on our social media posts.

What was the Russell Run Club Up To This Week?
Even though the racing season has quieted down, our members were still crushing it. Achievements come in all forms this week - even a close call with an alligator. We hope these quotes inspire you.
" Even in Florida on vacation I try to get my runs in. It wasn’t a 10km - it was 7km because it got really hot really fast. So earlier morning run tomorrow. Hoping I don’t run into this alligator again tomorrow. He was really really close. I hope I can out run him lol
Cheers beautiful run club peeps!"
Tara Q.
"Showed my new favorite coffee mug around the office today! It think it’s going to like it here." Crystal M.
"First week doing back-to-back days of running in a month and with no pain!"
Norman S.
"My "trophy" wound has finally healed. I am seeing 50+ km weeks, strides, quality workouts, and stupid o'clock runs. I am slowly getting back and ready for 2025."
Michelle L.
"I’m becoming more consistent with my runs and enjoying longer runs pain free. Also celebrated a new job promotion, which will allow more flexibility and freedom in my life, allowing me to add more strength training and yoga into my fitness journey. I’m also paying closer attention to my nutrition, trying out new healthy recipes to keep my energy high as I get ready for a new chapter and new goals in 2025."
