Erika and Amy Run Around the Bay

Congratulations to Erika Morris and Amy Vandekemp for completing the historic Around the Bay 30km race in Hamilton on Sunday, April 12, 2026. They completed the course in style sporting their iconic Russell Run Club buffs.

Erika finished in 3:27:55 and Amy crossed the line in 3:49:20.

Russell Run Club Gives Back at RBC Training Grounds

One of the advantages of being part of the Russell Run Club is that when you need help someone from the club is bound to step up! This is what happened when club member Tara Quesnel-Paul recognized that the Ottawa RBC Training Ground event was short on volunteers. 400 young athletes had signed up for the April 11th event to see if they had olympic potential.

Run club members jumped in on short notice to volunteer their Saturday and see these young atheletes in action.

St. Lawrence Group Training Run

In preparation for race day, Russell Run Club members gathered along with members of reh Cornwall Multisport Club as well a a mix of local runners for a training run along a portion of the St. Lawrence marathon course.

Running distances ranged from 5km to 32km. The familiar faces along the route helped this group brave the windy, cold and put in the work.

St. Lawrence Race Day

What a turnout for St. Lawrence Race Day! We had a huge Russell Run Club contingent at the event running and cheering on our runners. It was a sunny day but the wind certainly made it challenging for our runners.

This event is a big one for the club as it is a target race for many club members, clinic participants and privately coached athletes. This is the day when they see the results of all that hard trainining.
