Jessica Tackles Trail Des Collines

Congratulations new club member, Jessica Lamoureux-Desforges, who completed the Trail Des Collines 32km race on May 2, 2026 in a time of 6:32:45.

Of course Jessica is not done yet! She's now preparing for the Bromont 55km in the fall! Welcome to the club, Jess, and good luck with your training.

CMC Spring Duathlon

Club members Maurce Bonneville and Dave Sadler have been adding some cycling to their training and decided to toe the line at Cornwall Multisport Club's Spring Duathlon on May 2, 2026.

Maurce completed the 21km course in 1:09:55 and Dave crossed the finish line in 1:16:16.

Congratulations to you both!

Run to Empower 5km

May 2nd was a busy day for racing, Manju Shankar participated in Run Ottawa's Run to Empower 5km completing the event in 37:27. Well done, Manju!

South Grenville Chamber of Commerce River Run

Saturday May 16, 2026 was the South Grenvillle Chamber of Commerce River Run.

While finding race results has been a challenge, rumour has it that Clair Sadler and Maurice Bonneville both took part in the event.

Purple Cow Virtual 5km

Last year we had a number of runners travel to Halifax to complete the 1/2 marathon during Blue Nose race weekend. This year the trip didn't happen but we still had some run club representation! Kathy Falldien completed the Purple Cow Virtual 5km in a time of 36:01 putting a club member on the results page for the Blue Nose race weekend.

Victoria Day Chase with CMC

The Cornwall Multisport Club hosted their annual Victoria Day Chase on May 18, 2026. The Chase is a fun event where your start time is dictated by your age and gender. The fastest finish time , minus the stagger time, is the winner!

Congraulations to Dave Sadler who completed the 5km course in 25:00.

Sulphur Springs Ultra (mudfest)

Club members Norm Shippee and Shiloh Gillard have been training hard for the Sulphur

Springs Ultra on May 23rd, 2026.

While the distance each one selected was a new challenge for both, Mother Nature decided to make it extra challenging! All day rain turned the trail race into a treacherous, cold, mud race.

Norm completed his planned 50 miles in 10:55:08 while Shiloh completed 75 of her planned 100 miles in 20:27:55. While she still had the will, the conditions were not going to allow her to finish within the race cut-off time so Shiloh called it a day (or night).

The DNF rate was huge in the crazy conditions with only 44 of 181 runners reaching the 100 mile target they set for themselves. Shiloh was one of only 74 runners that made it to 75 miles.

So much to be proud of for these two. Keep training and we'll keep our fingers crossed for better conditions at your next event!

Ottawa Race Weekend

Congrautlations to those who completed the 1/2 marathon at Ottawa Race Weekend on May 23, 2026.

Yves Carriere 2:01:27

Manju Shankar 3:01:47

Maurce Bonneville 1:59:37

It's a big event so apologies if we missed any club members who may have participated!
